Town Clock
The Town Clock in Dubuque, IA was built in 1873. A little know fact is that this is the second clock in Dubuque. This first town clock started ticking in November of 1864 and was said to be one of the most accurate in the United States. On May 25, 1872, people noticed cracks forming in the walls of the store building on which the original clock sat upon. Within minutes both the clock and the John Bell store collapsed, killing a child and two women who were inside the store at the time. And there you have it… that is the Town Clock in Dubuque.

Happy house warming Kristen!
