Feeding Time
Ms. Mallow reports from Broome, Australia where she witnessed a brutal crocodile feeding frenzy. To honor this scaly postcard I have prepared some rather bewildering crocodile facts.

SEAN PRESENTS: RATHER BEWILDERING CROCODILE FACTS

  • Crocodiles sweat through their mouths, this is why they’re sometimes seen on river banks with their mouths wide open.
  • The first crocodiles appeared nearly 240 million years ago they were only three feet long then but it is believed they ran on their back two legs.
  • Crocodiles can swim at speeds up to 25 miles per hour with just their tails.

You can read more about Karmen’s feeding frenzy in her post, Fishing for… Crocs? on her blog, Karmenvasion.
