Skydeck
Greetings from the Eureka Skydeck home to Australia’s tallest post box on the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower in Melbourne. The tower itself is named after the Eureka Stockade which was an organized rebellion of the gold miners against the United Kingdom in 1854. Many argue that the stockade represents the birth of democracy in Australia.

The tower is the second tallest building in the Australia and the tallest in Melbourne. It features the Eureka Skydeck 88, an observation deck that encompasses the entire 88th floor of the building. This skydeck offers views from the highest vantage point from a building in the southern hemisphere. On an interesting side note, the building is the 77th tallest in the world. But, alas I digress… The deck also features ‘The Edge’ which is a glass cube that extends 10 feet beyond the building. When a guest enters the cube the glass is opaque but as the installation moves out over the edge the glass become clear. Sounds rather terrifying but pretty awesome.
